Structure

Group fitness is an easy way to get a great workout in without having to think or plan

Proper Form

Proper form is important in order for your muscles to get everything out of the exercise and it also helps to prevent injuries.

Accountability

In order to keep you accountable, pick a class that you want to come to and invite a friend or make a reminder in your phone. Or you can sign up and pay for a class in advance. If you’re already on the list, there’s a good chance you won’t skip it

Variety

Having a variety of classes in your weekly routine is a great way to create muscle confusion, which keeps your body guessing and vamps up your metabolism. It also helps to avoid boredom.

Fun!

There’s no better way to describe it; group fitness classes are fun! Between the upbeat music, a great workout and a group of people motivating each other along the way, its an enjoyable way to exercise.

When It Matters, It Moves - Finding Your “Why” for Fitness

I heard about a fascinating study recently, and it’s been stuck in my mind ever since.

Researchers asked two groups to carry a 25-lb backpack up a steep ramp.

  • One group was told it contained important equipment

  • The other was told it was just dead weight

Guess which group performed better and said it felt easier?
👉 The ones who believed it mattered.

Their effort had purpose and that purpose changed everything.

Why Purpose Makes Hard Things Feel Easier

When your actions connect to a meaningful “why,” they stop feeling like chores. They feel important.

That’s why fitness goals tied to deeper meaning like staying strong for your kids, or having the energy to enjoy your life are easier to stick with.

If you’ve been struggling to resist the afternoon cookie or find motivation to work out, it’s time to reconnect with your why.

How to Find Your “Why”

  1. Write it down.
    Finish this sentence:
“I’m cleaning up my cravings so I can _____.”
Maybe it’s so you can feel confident again, or show up strong for your family.

  2. Remind yourself daily.
Post your “why” somewhere you’ll see it — like your mirror or phone background.

  3. Anchor it to your bigger picture.
Every workout isn’t just about today. It’s about who you’re becoming.

Because when your workouts have meaning, they’re no longer “dead weight.”
They’re the load that builds you up.
